As reported by nme.com the band have begun playing their new EP tracks at Live gigs. Their UK tour began at Rock City in Nottingham last night and had a treat in store for the fans. The band played all the regular hits such as The View From the Afternoon, Fake Tails and Red Lights. But, the band completely reworked their act adding to the set Mardy Bum (which faded away on their recent US tour) and the new tracks "Who the F*ck are Arctic Monkeys?" and "Leaving Before the Lights Come on". Who The F*ck had not been played live until that night so Nottingham fans had a real treat. Newie 'Cigarette Smoker Fiona' was also played, alongside the title track of the EP. The Monkeys opened with 'Riot Van', another track rarely played live. Support tonight came from longtime Monkeys associate The Reverend with his band The Makers and from Little Flames. The actor Steve Graham, who plays the titular 'Scummy Man' in the film inspired by the 'When The Sun Goes Down' video, was in the audience. The set list ran: 'Riot Van' 'View From the Afternoon' 'Cigarette Smoker Fiona' 'Mardy Bum' 'Still Take You Home' 'Who The Fuck Are Arctic Monkeys?' 'I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor' 'Perhaps Vampires Is A Bit Strong But' 'Dancing Shoes' 'Leave Before The Lights Come On' 'When The Sun Goes Down' 'Fake Tales Of San Francisco' 'From The Ritz To The Rubble' 'A Certain Romance'. |
